Twenty-one Cubs from the 22nd Wimbledon Cub Pack and their leaders have recently returned from their Summer Camp, which this year saw them base themselves for seven days at Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex.
During the week, the Cubs were given an action-packed week that including hiking, rock pooling, caving, swimming and some time on the beach.
They were taken on a number of visits to places such as The Observatory Science Centre, Fishers Farm Park and Newhaven Fort, with the highlight of the week being a day enjoying all the attractions at Butlins in Bognor Regis.
Having a ball
All of the Cubs seemed to have had an excellent week, with comments such as:
“20 out of 10!”
“He had a ball!”
“I could have done with a few more days” (Saturday afternoon)
“I wish I was still on Cub Camp” (Sunday afternoon)
“Amazing”
Thank you to all of the leaders who have given up a week of their holidays to make the experience possible for the Cubs.
